Yankton DOT Heated Truck Storage Facility

The Yankton DOT was in need of a facility to house their many trucks and snowplows as the existing facility was unable to provide the space for the ever increasing size of maintenance equipment. The project set out to construct a 120' wide by 60' deep pre-engineered steel building to serve as a heated truck storage facility. The facility was designed with 6 bays and included a heated floor system along with an HVAC system capable of reducing high humidity levels commonly experienced with this type of facility through the winter months. To help keep the project within budget, the asphalt surfacing was completed by the DOT maintenance forces. Banner provided architectural, structural, and civil/site design services and construction administration for the project. Mechanical and electrical services were provided by West Plains Engineering.
