Project Details

The University of South Dakota decided to demolish two aging resident halls on campus and construct the largest parking lot on campus in their place. Banner performed drainage analysis of the site to determine storm sewer needs and adequate drainage throughout the proposed parking lot. Pedestrian access around the parking lot was improved while bringing all adjacent areas up to ADA requirements. New landscaping features were incorporated into the design to match all aesthetics USD prefers across campus. Enhanced lighting and security were provided with new lighting. Throughout concrete paving operations, the contractor used survey grade equipment to ensure the parking lot was built to all required design grades. This technology allowed the contractor to save time and money on the project. During construction Banner ensured all plan and specification requirements were met by the contractor. The project was successfully constructed within the short timeline of summer break to ensure it was open for the upcoming school year. Banner provided:
