Project Details

Banner’s coordination with GFP was extensive, as finding a window to complete the operations was challenging. Cedar Shores LUA sees high usage throughout the year, particularly around fishing tournaments on the Missouri River.

The goals of this project were:

  1. Provide quality assurance of construction project
  2. Represent owner to ensure project is completed as intended
  3. Identify asphalt distresses and recommend repair method
  4. Complete aggregate testing to verify material quality
  5. Coordinate with GFP and contractor to identify windows for construction with minimal disruption to park users

Banner provided on-site observation, including addressing contractor questions, coordinating with local GF&P personnel and GF&P central headquarters, identifying and marking dig-out repairs, asphalt patches, and asphalt overlays, and verifying and adjusting application rates of asphalt and cover aggregate for fog and chip seal applications. Construction administration tasks included:

  • Reviewing and approving pay applications and change orders
  • Creating a punch list
  • Verifying the completion of the punch list
