SD GF&P Southeast South Dakota AST & AC Repairs

The South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks is responsible for management of over 370 combined state parks, recreation/nature areas, and lakeside use/access areas throughout the state. Banner provided construction management services for asphalt concrete repair and asphalt surfacing at Pierson Ranch Recreation Area, Chief White Crane Recreation Area, and Cedar Shores Lakeside Use Area in southeastern South Dakota as part of this project. Coordination with GFP was extensive to find a window to complete the operations as Cedar Shores LUA sees high usage during the year, particularly around fishing tournaments on the Missouri River. Banner provided on-site observation which included addressing contractor questions, coordinating with local GF&P personnel and at GF&P central headquarters, identifying and marking digout repairs, asphalt patches, and asphalt overlays, and verifying and adjusting application rates of asphalt and cover aggregate for fog and chip seal applications. Construction administration tasks included review and approve pay applications and change orders, create punchlist, and verify punchlist completion.
