Project Details

The removal of the 20,000 cubic yards of debris and sediment from the lake was imperative for making McCook Lake safe again for residents and recreational users. With homes surrounding the lake and heavy use for boating and water activities, debris removal was necessary to restore safety and allow the community to safely return to the water.

This removal occurred primarily from the shoreline using long-reach excavators, with barges utilized to access areas that could not be reached from shore. Through on-site construction observation and contract administration, Banner Associates helped ensure that debris removal efforts were completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. Active oversight supported coordination between the owner and contractor while maintaining quality control throughout construction. The completed work restored safe conditions within the lake, allowing recreational use to resume and supporting recovery efforts for the surrounding community.
