Project Details

Regulatory compliance can be a complex web of details: we are here to support your needs as we did for the South Dakota Department of Transportation. In this project, we assisted with the environmental compliance documentation required by the Federal Highway Administration for bridge projects in eastern SD. The team followed preservation and conservation rules and regulations for all the projects and assisted with mitigation efforts and avoidance measures. This documentation plays a crucial role in future bridge/structure replacement projects, helping improve the safety and efficiency of our roadways.

Deliverables to the South Dakota Department of Transportation included: draft categorical exclusion documents for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, including all supporting documentation for the categorical exclusions, and draft Section 404 permit applications for each individual bridge replacement.
