Project Details
Banner evaluated multiple methodologies of post-lagoon ammonia and e. coli reduction and worked with the city to select a technology. Banner also worked with the city to project anticipated wastewater flows for the next 20+ years, and Banner worked with DANR to plan for potential future WWTF effluent limits.
We designed WWTF improvements to implement the selected technology, a Submerged Underground Growth Reactor (SAGR) system. This project included the design of a precast concrete blower building, site improvements for installation and maintenance of the SAGR cells, hydraulic and conveyance improvements, and integration improvements. The project also included installing composite influent and effluent samplers and coordinating with the city to begin meeting requirements for continuous discharge facilities.
Banner provided construction administration and observation services for this project.
