Scope of Work:
  • Influent box and chemical feed points
  • Four solids contact basins (3 equipped with mechanisms), 85 ft. diameter with 20 ft. side water depth
  • Two recarbonation basins, each with a nominal capacity of 310,000 gallons
  • Eight filters, two cells per filter, each cell 18'x 34' (4 filters provided with media, underdrains, associated piping, equipment and controls)
  • Chemical feeding and handling systems for: Lime, Sodium hypochlorite, Aqueous ammonia, Hydrofluosilicic acid, Ferric sulfate, Sodium permanganate, Sodium hexametaphosphate
  • Site work including: Excavation and finish grading, Access roads and parking area including pavement, Site piping ranging from 72" to less than 6" pipe, Lime sludge drying beds, Drainage improvements, Erosion Control and Turf Establishment
  • Process instrumentation and control systems
  • Administration, maintenance facilities and process control laboratory
  • Security systems
  • Emergency power system including one generator set
  • Fill to capacity each chemical storage tank or unit prior to water treatment plant start-up
  • Clean up, startup services, and all other miscellaneous work required but not herein mentioned but inferred from the construction Contract Documents.
  • Project Schedule and Final Plans are subject to the approval of the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System Board of Directors, US Bureau of Reclamation, and the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
